Haleigh Ruebush, MS, CCC-SLP joined the ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½app Speech Pathology & Audiology faculty in 2017. Haleigh currently teaches SPA 481 (Evaluation Procedures in Speech-Language Pathology), SPA 510 (Motor Speech Disorders), SPA 547 (Fluency Disorders) and SPA 549 (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).Ìý
In addition to teaching, Haleigh currently supervises undergraduate and graduate students at the ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½app Speech and Language Clinic, along with supervising graduate students at West Prairie School District. She also supervises students completing diagnostic evaluations in the ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½app Speech and Hearing Clinic. In 2017, Haleigh developed a family support group, Comfort Circle, that has continued to support caregivers each semester. Her professional interests include dysphagia, fluency disorders, sensory processing disorder, along with supporting and normalizing the use of augmentative and alternative communication.Ìý
Prior to coming to ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½app, Haleigh practiced as a speech-language pathologist within a variety of settings. Her experience included working in early intervention, private practice, home health and long-term care. Haleigh is also a certified provider of VitalStim therapy for dysphagia.Ìý
Haleigh earned her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½app Illinois University in 2010 and 2013.Ìý
Haleigh is licensed to practice in the state of Illinois and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).Ìý
