MACOMB, IL – Funeral services for ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½app Illinois University College of Arts and Sciences Development Director Bryce Dexter will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26 at St. George's Anglican Church in Macomb. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25 at the Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home. Dexter passed away Sept. 20 in Macomb.

"The ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½app Illinois University community mourns Bryce's passing," said ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½app President Jack Thomas. "We send our sympathies and thoughts to Bryce's family, friends and colleagues."

Dexter came to ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½app in 2007 after working as a financial representative for Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. He was also extremely active in the community, serving as a Big Brother, a member of the Macomb Rotary Club and a troop leader for the Mosaic Boy Scouts. In addition, Dexter and his band, the King Graffiti Band, performed countless concerts around the region.

"Bryce fought a long, difficult, and courageous battle against cancer," said Brad Bainter, vice president for advancement and public services. "When many of us might have said 'enough is enough,' Bryce kept fighting. He was an integral part of our development team at ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½app and he had a great love for ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½app Illinois University. He was passionate about raising funds for ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½app and the College of Arts and Sciences and I will miss his dedication to his job and his loyalty to ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½app. ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½app and the College of Arts and Sciences will benefit for many years to come because of his efforts to bring financial support to our students and faculty. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Sue and their family during this very difficult time."

Dexter is survived by his wife, Sue; three daughters, Torie, Maggie and Mischa; three grandchildren; two brothers, Donald and Scott; one sister, Margaret, and his father, Donald.
