July 3, 2025

MACOMB, IL - - ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½app Illinois University and Elgin Community College (ECC) are partnering to establish a new academic pathway program. Students will be able to make a seamless transition from ECC's Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice to ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½app's bachelor's degree program in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration (LEJA).
This partnership allows ECC students to transfer directly into the program, available both on campus in Macomb and fully online.
"Elgin's AAS degree structure makes for a great transition into a bachelor's degree," Kassie Daly, associate director of admission and director of transfer services at ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½app, said. "Many criminal justice articulated courses and multiple general education requirements are included in the agreement."
The new pathway was developed through collaboration between ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½app LEJA Director Jamie Johnson and ECC.
"At ECC, we're committed to making the transfer process as seamless as possible for our students," Tracy Vittone, director of transfer services at ECC, said. "Partnerships like this one with ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½app ensure that students can build on the education they've already earned and continue their path toward a rewarding career without losing time or credits."
