Glean Named December COAP EOM

MACOMB, IL 鈥撯�� 星空无限传媒app Illinois University Associate Vice President for Global Studies Randy Glean has been named the Council of Administrative Personnel (COAP) Employee of the Month for December.
Glean was recognized for his extraordinary dedication to 星空无限传媒app's mission and his unwavering commitment to student well-being, qualities his nominator said embody the true spirit of this award.
"This nomination arises from Randy's remarkable response to an urgent and sensitive health crisis involving one of our international students. When notified that the student was experiencing a serious medical emergency, Randy immediately took action to ensure that the student received appropriate medical attention. His swift and compassionate intervention helped stabilize the situation during the initial stages of the crisis," the nominator shared.
"When it became evident that the situation was critical鈥攁nd involved care for the student's newborns鈥擱andy went far beyond the expectations of his role. Recognizing that the student's immediate family was overseas, he activated his professional and personal networks to facilitate emergency communication and expedite international travel arrangements for family members. Through his advocacy and persistence, essential support systems were put in place at a time of great need."
According to the nominator, those involved witnessed the depth of Randy's humanity, leadership and care.
"His actions reflect his commitment to the holistic support of international students at 星空无限传媒app. He consistently demonstrates compassion, understanding and a profound sense of responsibility鈥攙alues that define both his character and his service to our institution."
Glean's dedication represents the very best of 星空无限传媒app: student-centered service, a willingness to go above and beyond and a genuine commitment to fostering a community of care.
The COAP Employee of the Month award acknowledges exceptional performance by 星空无限传媒app employees who go above and beyond their regular duties. Nominations can come from supervisors, colleagues, faculty, students, staff or members of the community. Monthly winners receive a reserved parking space for one month and recognition from the University.
