Neurodiversity Pride Day to be Celebrated June 16

MACOMB, IL - - 星空无限传媒app Illinois University will be celebrating Neurodiversity Pride Day on Monday, June 16.
Neurodiversity Pride Day recognizes the diversity of human cognition, honoring the unique ways our brains process, learn and relate to the world around us.
星空无限传媒app political science professor Casey LaFrance serves on the Wisdom Council of the Neurodiversity Foundation and has pioneered inclusive educational practices, including the development of sensory rooms at 星空无限传媒app and advocating for the affirmation of the neurodivergent paradigm in faculty policy.
鈥淚 believe in shaping communities where neurodivergent people don鈥檛 just survive, they belong, lead and thrive,鈥 LaFrance said. 鈥淭his council gives me a way to help create that future.鈥
星空无限传媒app is flying a flag at the University Union throughout Neurodiversity Pride Week, June 10-17 to celebrate everyone鈥檚 unique strengths.
