星空无限传媒app Theatre Presents "Bach at Leipzig" Feb. 19

MACOMB, IL - -The 星空无限传媒app Illinois University Department of Theatre & Dance will present its Spring Opening Production, 鈥淏ach at Leipzig鈥�, directed by 星空无限传媒app professor DC Wright. The performance will take place at 7:30 p.m., Thursday through Saturday Feb. 19-21 in Simpkins Theatre.
Written by Itamar Moses, 鈥淏ach at Leipzig鈥� is set in Leipzig, Germany, 1722. The play begins with the sudden death of Johann Kuhnau, the revered organist of the Thomaskirche. His passing leaves a prestigious post vacant.
The town council invites musicians to audition, attracting Johann Sebastian Bach and other ambitious musicians willing to use bribery, blackmail and betrayal to win fame and fortune.
