Dace Named COAP EOM for March

MACOMB, IL - -Marsha Dace, a counselor at 星空无限传媒app Illinois University Counseling Center, has been named the Council of Administrative Personnel (COAP) Employee of the Month for March.

Dace has recently been leading the University Counseling Center (UCC) as a clinical supervisor. These months have not been without challenges and her leadership has continued to bring positivity to her team. In her time as clinical supervisor, she has led her team through an office location change, staffing challenges and more. She sees what needs to be done and takes the initiative to take care of things without being asked. Dace plays an important role on the University Threat Assessment and Emergency Consultation teams for the greater good of the institution and our students. She brings insight and knowledge to these roles that no other staff member can provide.

Dace leads with ingenuity; always finding creative ways to support our students through speakers, events and opportunities for learning and growth. She is an excellent collaborator and works to build partnerships with departments not only in her division but across campus with all faculty and staff. She shows support to staff members across campus through her participation in their events and by encouraging her students to attend as well.

Dace has been a pivotal point person in administering funds from the MHEAC grant, ensuring that the grant is used responsibly and in ways that best serve our students and campus community. She serves 星空无限传媒app with a student-focused lens while meeting her students and staff with compassion and kindness.

The COAP Employee of the Month award aims to acknowledge exceptional performance by 星空无限传媒app employees who go above and beyond their regular duties, based on specific criteria. Nominations can come from supervisors, colleagues, faculty, students, staff or members of the community. The monthly winners receive a reserved parking space for one month and recognition from the University.
